The Sally Buselt Elementary School will open in August 2024. The school is located at 29810 Wickerd Road, Menifee, CA 92584. Below are some common questions and answers regarding the new school. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Q: When will the new elementary school boundaries go into effect?
A: The new boundaries will go into effect on July 1, 2024.  Families affected by the boundary changes will be notified. Those boundaries can be viewed at this link


Q: How were the boundaries for Sally Buselt Elementary School (SBE) determined?
A: Boundaries are initially determined by the location of the elementary school. The district’s facilities department presented various options to MUSD families via an online survey. Based on those options and survey results, the department worked with a committee to make a recommendation to the governing board.  The governing board approved the recommended boundaries on Monday, December 11, 2023. 


Q: Which schools are impacted by the new boundaries?
A: Elementary-grade students attending Callie Kirkpatrick Elementary School, Southshore Elementary School, and Harvest Hill STEAM Academy may now be within the boundaries of SBE. To determine which elementary school is your child’s school of residence, you can view the boundary map.


Q: What if I want my child to remain at their current elementary school for the 2024-25 school year?
A: Parents/guardians whose school of residence is SBE and wish for their child to remain at their current elementary school may apply for an intra-district transfer beginning February 14, 2024. The transfer form will be available at that time.


Q: When will I get more information regarding Sally Buselt Elementary School?
A: All Sally Buselt Elementary School families will receive up-to-date information as soon as it is available. Information will be sent out via email and ParentSquare.
