The Pupil Personnel Services department encompasses many areas; Special Education, Child Welfare and Attendance, Health Services, Counseling, Suspensions/Expulsions and Uniform Complaints to name a few.
Health Services
Menifee Union School District Health Services has three registered nurses, who are credentialed by the State of California as School Nurses.
Child Welfare and Attendance
Attendance is paramount to achievement. Each school monitors the attendance of students and occasionally further actions need to be taken to ensure that students attend regularly to optimize instructional time, for example phone calls, home visits and letters to the parent. In some circumstances a family will be brought before the School Attendance and Review Board (SARB).
Suspensions and Expulsion
The Pupil Personnel Office is involved in the processing of all student expulsions. An administrative panel is convened and alternatives sought prior to student expulsion. In the event that a student is expelled from this district, the Pupil Personnel Office is instrumental in connecting the family with alternative educational settings.

Uniform Complaints
Parents and students have educational rights. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the parent is entitled to file a Uniform Complaint. The Pupil Personnel Office is responsible to assist in the resolution of the complaint and if an agreement is not reached, the complaint is referred to the appropriate personnel at the county level.
