In this, the first of Menifee’s Meaningful Moments, we see just how important our teachers are in their students’ lives. The connections teachers make seem to mean so much more in this distance learning environment. Mrs. Cox, a Táawila Elementary School 2nd grade teacher, sent her student, Indiana Hertz, a birthday wish in the mail. Such a sweet, genuine happiness brought on by her teacher reaching out in a simple, thoughtful way.

This type of outreach is happening daily across the district, as teachers make every effort to give support in many ways to the children of the district.
