Special Education Parent Advisory Committee
Mission: To help sustain a positive and knowledgeable partnership between the parents and caregivers of children with exceptional needs and the Menifee Union School District professionals who serve them.
Goals: The goals of the SEPAC are to involve parents, families, and other interested individuals in advising the District and professional staff about the unique and individual requirements of students with exceptional needs, to assist District administration in furthering and improving the functioning of the Special Education programs, and to ensure families have meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children.
- Responsibilities: To achieve this goal, efforts of the SEPAC shall be directed toward the following specific responsibilities and objectives.
- Support activities on behalf of students with exceptional needs
- Assist in parent education and recruit parents and other volunteers who will contribute to the SEPAC
- Improve communication related to special education between parents, families, and other interested individuals/community members, and professionals
