Our Governing Board In Action

During the month of  January the Menifee Union School District Governing Board took the following actions:

  • Approved the Reauthoring Counseling & Psychological Services Professional Supervision Services Agreement for professional supervision
  • Ratified an agreement between Brandman University and Menifee Union School District for supervised fieldwork in Teacher Education, School Counseling, and School Psychology
  • Accepted with thanks donations listed, CALLIE KIRPATRICK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: $1,065.75 in Student Donations for Transportation for First Grade Study Trip to Riley's Frontier Events; DISTRICT COPY CENTER/PRINT SHOP: $3,000.00 from Image Source in Gift Cards to Be Used to Purchase Supplies for the District Print Shop; and DISTRICT EDUCATION CENTER: $29,950.00 from Miguel's Jr. in Student Incentive and Award Certificates
  • Declared that the Menifee Union School District has complied with the provisions of the California Education Code 44258.9 which stipulates the monitoring, review, and reporting of all certificated assignments with the District 
  • Approved the School Plan for Student Achievement for Táawila Elementary School
  • Appointed Mr. Kenyon Jenkins to the Governing Board effective January 22, 2019, through December 4, 2020
  • Elected Mr. Kenyon Jenkins as Deputy Clerk to fulfill responsibilities of the Clerk in the Clerk's absence
  • Approved the Agreement for Professional Service with Pupil Transportation Information, LLC (PTI) to provide additional service delivery model recommendations addressing the MUSD bus  fleet age and current services cost while keeping service stability as a priority
  • Approved the Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) Water Bottle Filling Station Participation Agreement
  • Approved the selected pool for Architectural Services
  • Ratified the Agreement for Homeless Expenses Reimbursement with the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools
  • Approved the revision of the Transportation Supervisor Job Description
  • Adopted Resolution No. 2019-52 declaring February 2019 Black History Month

A School Snapshot of Táawila Elementary School was presented by Principal, Mrs. Daphne Donoho.

A SEWUP Safety Award was presented by Mr. Brent Chavez, Assistant Vice President, Keenan & Associates to Superintendent, Dr. Steve Kennedy and MUSD Governing Board President, Mr. Reg Bennett for the safety record during the construction of Táawila Elementary School.

Superintendent, Dr. Steve Kennedy joined Governing Board President, Mr. Reg Bennett in presenting Mr. Ron Kuehl, COO of NEFF Construction a SEWUP award for their outstanding safety record during the construction of Táawila Elementary School.
