Evans Ranch Elementary School qualifies for federal Title I funding. Title I is federal funding for children of poverty. The goal is to use the funds to close the achievement gap for children of need in high poverty schools. Under Federal law, the poverty rate is based on free and reduced lunch counts. Schools that serve 35% or more students from low income families are eligible to receive the funds. Our school’s poverty rate is over 35%. Title I funds target any student who is not proficient in English, Language Arts or Mathematics.
