Southshore Elementary School, home of the Mariners, opened July 7, 2008.  We welcomed approximately 650 new kindergarten through fifth grade students. Our facility is completely indoors and each classroom is equipped with state-of-the-art technology resources to enrich the learning environment.  Our entire staff is committed to each child thriving at Southshore through their dedication to academic success, emotional learning, and social activities. 

Our 4th and 5th grade students eagerly join Student Council each September where each week leadership skills are developed and implemented; they are the mentors of our school! Our beloved mascot, Fin, greets students each Friday as the entire student body gather outside to recite the pledge of allegiance, perform our school mantra of S.A.I.L.S., and celebrate student success through Star Student of the Week and Student of the Month. In addition, each new school year we have a school wide theme where Wednesdays become dress up days! For the 2022-2023 school year, our theme is All Things Disney! We wear our Disney gear and ears with much enthusiasm.

Our stellar PTA creates fun activities each year, such as our annual Fun Run, Fin's birthday celebration, Family Engagement Nights, Bingo Nights, dances, and more! We are excited to welcome your family to our campus and look forward to meeting you.
