Callie Kirkpatrick Elementary school has a legacy of growth and development! Our namesake, Callie Kirkpatrick, was a true pioneer of the future!

Callie Kirkpatrick was a Southern woman who was both educated and well mannered. Though she had moved to the Wild West, she wanted her children to have a good education and with the help of her husband, built and opened the first school in the area in 1890. Callie Kirkpatrick Elementary opened in July of 1992 and is located on the original land that was acquired by the Kirkpatrick Family under the Homestead Act of 1862. Our school was named to honor Callie Kirkpatrick’s pioneering spirit. Her efforts paved the way for our students to be Pioneers of the Future!

Callie Kirkpatrick's desire for a good education for her children still holds true today. At Callie Kirkpatrick Elementary School, we continue to work diligently to honor her vision, impacting the hearts and minds of the children we serve!
