The Menifee Union School District Science Adoption Committee is actively reviewing and piloting science curricula for grades K-8. Their mission is to recommend a curriculum that empowers our students, staff, and families to succeed and develop a love for science!
Guided by the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Framework, the committee seeks a curriculum aligned with state standards and evidence-based practices for effective science instruction. The committee includes representatives from each school and grade level, including both general and special education teachers, who are evaluating options and gathering input from educational partners.
Using a rigorous evaluation rubric, the committee selected top curriculum options to pilot. They will review pilot feedback and input from educational partners before making a final recommendation to the governing board. The selected curriculum will be implemented in the 2024-2025 school year.
