Engaging Young Minds for Limitless Futures.
Menifee Union School District
April 02, 2020

For Community and Staff:

There have been several developments regarding the novel coronavirus, (COVID-19), Statewide and within Riverside County. Yesterday, Dr. Kaiser, Public Health Officer with Riverside University Health Systems,  issued an amendment to the previous school closure executive order. Per the latest order, all Riverside County schools from elementary to college are directed to remain physically closed until June 19, 2020.

This is difficult news to share as we all want our lives to return to normal, students back in class, and our teachers engaged in teaching.  This is the best decision, however, given the current conditions countywide in order to support everyone’s safety. We understand how challenging school closures are for our families, and we appreciate your support and patience.

The Menifee Union School District remains committed to delivering quality educational engagement through online distance learning.  Our administrators, teachers, and staff have been working around the clock to create a distance learning plan specific to the needs of the students served by our schools. We have prepared appropriate learning materials in a both digital and non-digital format for our students with guidance from the California Department of Education. Currently, teachers are collaborating to deliver worthwhile distance learning opportunities for students. These new opportunities will be available when we return from Spring Break on April 14th.

Your attention to our communications is greatly appreciated as we navigate this rapidly changing situation. We will communicate all new expectations, as they become available.

Please take care of yourselves and do what you can to maintain your family’s physical and mental health during this pandemic. To review all communications by Riverside University Health System, Public Health please visit, www.rivcoph.org/coronavirus.

Sincerely,

Menifee Union SD Administrative Team
