Dear MUSD Community,

With six (6) confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases associated with Riverside County, the Menifee Union School District is considering the alteration of events that include group gatherings and/or travel to limit the possible exposure/transmission of COVID-19 within the community.

The Menifee Union School District is following the guidance provided by the California Public Health Department, and the Riverside County Public Health Department  to modify, postpone, or cancel large community events with people of indeterminate health status where people are in close contact with one another.

Some school sites will continue to host small events that would allow for social distancing, such as book fairs for students only.  All questions about site activities, meetings,  and  field trips should be addressed to the Site Principal.  Site Principals are working directly with the Menifee Emergency Planning Team to determine/approve each event on a case-by-case basis; new information is provided on a daily basis and decisions are made with the best interest of students and with the most current information available.

The MUSD appreciates your continued attention in following the guidelines for the prevention of spreading viruses by covering coughs, frequent hand washing and keeping your children home from school when they are ill.

The Riverside University Health System - Public Health has provided the following guidelines (as of March 10, 2020) to help decrease the spread of the coronavirus).
