Dear Kathryn Newport Middle School Team,
It is with overwhelming pride and excitement that I have the opportunity to serve as the Principal of Kathryn Newport Middle School (KNMS). I consider it an honor being selected to open our district’s fifth middle school, which serves students from Quail Valley, Ridgemoor, and Táawila Elementary Schools. My passion for student learning and dedication to the field of education has spanned more than sixteen years while working with students from Transitional Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. I am excited and eager to begin our partnership together in helping develop the “whole” child in character and academics. It is my goal to bring my skills as an educational leader to KNMS and be a part of our school team that will engage young minds for a limitless future.
Along with the teachers and staff, I work hard to build a legacy of learning, exploration, and imagination through building strong relationships with parents, students and community partners. We will create and support a school environment in which all children and adults feel valued, supported, seen, and included across our school community. Beyond core classes, students will have an opportunity to enroll in high quality electives at KNMS which may include: Financial Literacy, Technology, Career Technical Education (CTE): Health Science & Medical Technology, Band, CTE: Arts, Media & Entertainment, Dance, Cheer, and more!
As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here! This mindset enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. Through our partnership, we will work towards meeting the vision and mission of the Menifee Union School District.
I look forward to a positive school year that allows our students, staff, and school community to inspire learning, exploration, and imagination in all the students we serve.
Lets R.I.D.E.!
