Dear Menifee Valley Middle School Community,

It is with great excitement and heartfelt gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Menifee Valley Middle School. I am honored to join this exceptional school community and look forward to partnering with you in service of our students.

My journey in education has been rooted in a deep belief in the transformative power of relationships and the lasting impact educators can have on young lives. I began my career as a high school special education teacher and wrestling coach, eventually serving as a Dean of Students within Southern California. Most recently, I supported the students and families of Menifee Union School District as the Assistant Principal at Bell Mountain Middle School.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Anderson University, followed by a Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies from Vanguard University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D., continuing a journey of lifelong learning. My educational experiences have profoundly shaped my leadership approach—rooted in service, guided by purpose, and centered on people.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to fostering school cultures centered on equity, integrity, and collaboration. I believe in creating environments where every student feels seen, safe, supported, and inspired to succeed—values that strongly align with our district’s Vision: Engaging Young Minds for Limitless Futures, and Mission: To inspire learning, exploration, and imagination. I also stand firmly with MUSD’s Equity Statement, which ensures that all students, families, and staff are valued, included, and given equitable access to opportunities that empower them to thrive.

MVMS is known for its strong foundation of excellence, tradition, and community—qualities that reflect the professionalism and dedication of its staff and families. I am joining this school not to change what is working, but to help it grow by supporting collaborative leadership, high-quality instruction, and meaningful connections with all stakeholders.

As we prepare to launch the 2025–2026 school year, I am excited to connect with each of you—our students, families, staff, and community partners. Everything we do is centered on creating an environment where students are inspired to grow, supported in their challenges, and celebrated in their successes. Our aim is to ensure that every student not only thrives academically but also builds the confidence, character, and curiosity to reach new heights—both in and beyond the classroom.

As C.S. Lewis reminds us, “There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” With that mindset, let us move forward with hope, purpose, and a shared commitment to helping every student soar.

I look forward to partnering with you to make this a year of meaningful growth and endless possibilities for all students.

Luis Audelo
