Belief

“We believe families are the core of students’ development. Families are a source of strength and knowledge. Families are empowered when schools embrace families as they are and create partnerships. When schools make frequent efforts to know, listen to, and learn from families through effective communication, student achievement increases.”

Vision

Trust. Empower. Achieve.

To establish a culture of resilience, academic performance, and conviction in all African American Students.  To provide the knowledge, skills, and resources to increase the involvement and engagement of parents, care-givers, and the community. To build a relationship of trust and transparency with the schools and the district.

The Mission of MUSD DAAPAC is to establish trust between families, schools, and the community; empower African American students to advocate for their personal and academic success, and close the achievement gap between African American students and the general student population.
