Dear Menifee Preschool Parents and Guardians,
I am humbled to serve as your new Principal. I am Shine Nissar, also known as Dr. Shine. I am excited about this opportunity to lead the Menifee Preschool during this time of change! The importance of early learning is in the forefront with Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) and Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK). I have over 12 years of experience as an administrator and over 10 years of experience as a preschool teacher and a college professor. My experience and education are in the profession of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), School Leadership and Administration. I am actively involved in the community advocating for our children and staff members.
At the Menifee Preschool, we respect diversity and inclusivity and welcome everyone. We believe that all children learn best in a safe and fun environment with hands-on learning opportunities that are culturally and developmentally appropriate. The focus of our curriculum is to guide children to develop holistically by learning through play based activities according to their own Ages and the Stages of development. We take pride in teaching children social-emotional development using the Second Step curriculum.
You are the first and most important teacher of your child. We value the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of our families. We enjoy collaborating with you to strengthen the connection between school and home.
Our well qualified, highly experienced, and diverse staff members strive to remain up to date with the latest research and mandates of child development. We are proud participants of Quality Start Riverside County. Our wonderful staff earned Tier IV and V ratings in maintaining high-quality early education standards. Children are taught early reading, writing, and math skills through exploring art, music, fitness, science, and history activities in large and small groups. Children enjoy healthy snacks. Welness and independent skills are a part of the daily routine.
Currently, through our preschool program we offer Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Childhood Special Education, along with Speech and Language and other related services for qualified 3-5 old children according to State and Federal guidelines. We are excited to offer preschool inclusive practices to support preschoolers with and without disabilities!
The goal of our preschool assessments are to identify the present levels of development, to individualize the curriculum by planning lessons to increase and improve outcomes based on rich data. Our dedicated preschool team utilizes the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale (ECERS), CLassroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), and the Inclusive Classroom Profile to assess the quality of learning that takes place. In addition, our top notch Muti-disciplinary Preschool Assessment Team (School Psychologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, ECSE & ECE Teachers, School Nurse, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, etc.) utilizes a variety of assessments to meet the needs of students by working with parents.
