Members of the Governing Board are residents and taxpayers in our community.  Any person is eligible to be a Board member, without further qualifications, if he/she is eighteen years of age or older, a citizen of the state, a resident of the school district, a registered voter and not legally disqualified from holding civil office.  (Education Code 35107)

The Board is a policy-making body and has the authority, acting as a unit, to contract for goods, employ personnel, establish a budget, and determine the educational programs of the District.

The Board employs a Superintendent of Schools who is the Chief Executive Officer of the District.  The Superintendent is also the Secretary to the Board and prepares the Board’s agenda as well as maintains its records and files.

The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted), in the Board Room at the Menifee Union School District, Bob O'Donnell District Education Center, located at 29775 Haun Road, Menifee CA, unless otherwise posted.  In addition, Special Board meetings may be scheduled to address issues as they arise.

The Board Agenda is posted at District Education Center  72 hours prior to each meeting, and on-line at www.menifeeusd.org. 
Agendas for Special Board meetings are posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
