During the month of May the Menifee Union School District Governing Board took the following actions:
- Approved the use of a piggy-back bid from the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools to purchase furniture from Culver Newlin for Chester W. Morrison Elementary School
- Approved the use of a piggy-back bid from the San Bernardino CountySuperintendent of Schools to purchase furniture from Culver Newlin for the Menifee Valley Middle School Reconstruction Project
- Approved the proposal provided by Shade Structures, Inc., DBA USA Shade, for the purchase of shade structures for Menifee Valley Middle School
- Ratified the Transportation Agreement with the Menifee Boys & Girls Club for afterschool transportation services
- Approved the Agreement for Student Transportation Services with Hemet Unified School District
- Ratified the Menifee Teachers Association Tentative Agreement, and increase all Certificated Salary Schedules
- Approved the increase in Salary Schedule for Certificated and Classified Management and Confidential
- Approved increase in Salary Schedule for Governing Board Members
- Approved the selection and appointment of Phillip Suttner for the position of Principal K-8
- Approved the addition of nine (9) Virtual Educator positions
- Approved the addition of one (1) Virtual Educator Special Education position
- Approved the Declaration of Need for Fully Qualified Educators to be submitted to the State of California, Commission on Teacher Credentialing, for the 2021/2022 school year
- Approved the revision of one Board meeting in June currently scheduled on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, and move it to Thursday, June 10, 2021 in replacement on the Calendar of 2021 Governing Board Meetings
- Adopted Resolution No. 2021-29 for Year End Budget Adjustments
- Adopted Resolution No. 2021-30 authorizing routine budget revisions
- Adopted Resolution No. 2021-31 establishing Fund 08, a Student Activity Special Revenue Fund
- Approved the Office of Public School Construction (OPSC) funding letter to convert funding application to an apportionment
- Approved the attached proposal for surveying services for the Menifee State Preschool Portable Addition
- Approved the attached proposal provided by Util-Locate for utility locating services in preparation for fence work to be performed at Quail Valley Elementary
- Approved the attached piggyback proposal for playground equipment and accessories from Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. for Chester W. Morrison Elementary School
- Approved the attached proposal for commercial relocation services from Crown Worldwide for the Chester W. Morrison Elementary School Kindergarten Reconstruction Project
- Approved the attached proposal for commercial relocation services at Menifee Valley Middle School
- Approved the purchase of two Ford T250 vans for the Operations Department
- Approved the addition of one (1) Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator position
- Approved the addition of one (1) RSP/SDC Teacher position
- Approved four (4) 3.5 hour, School Community Liaison positions and one (1) 7 hour, School Community Liaison position
- Approved the addition of one (1) Special Education Coordinator position and the revised job description
- Approved the revised job description, Special Education Technician
- Approved four (4) 7.5 hour, Technology Aide positions
- Approved the addition of ten (10) Virtual Educator positions
- Approved the adoption of the Expanded Learning Opportunities Grant Plan

Recognition of 2021 District Spelling Bee Winners Zaree Dean, a 4th grade student at Oak Meadows Elementary School, for spelling her way to the Grand Championship at the MUSD's Virtual Spelling Bee on January 21, 202, and Gene Trevor Garcia, a 7th grade student at Bell Mountain Middle School for being named First Runner-Up, presented by Dr. Kimberly Ann Huesing, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services.
