Mr. Steve Thornton, Director of  Technology, introduced the Menifee Union School District's New Logo and Website Design. He shared, “It’s become increasingly apparent that while our old logo tells the story of where we’ve been - it doesn’t quite tell the story of our future as well as it could. We continue to add schools, our community continues to grow. Our students are expected to be ready for college and career and we are expected to support their success from Preschool through Grade 12 and beyond.”

The logo colors were selected to complement our new web presence. The website color palette of Crimson Red and Sunglow Yellow was chosen for its strong visual presence and for its ability to grab the viewer’s attention. Dark red commonly symbolizes heart and strength. Yellow can symbolize happiness and intellect.

The font is modern, professional, and bold – indicating that we are future-ready and serious about our work.

The oak tree and hills behind provide a sense of who we are geographically – we are in a valley surrounded by hills in a place where oak trees were once abundant and where they are still common.

The oak tree also represents our students reaching for the sky, with deep roots, and the strength to persevere.

The stars represent that we are special; that our staff and students are superstars.

The words “Inquiry – Heart – Discovery” at the bottom speak to the fact that our kids are engaged in student-centered learning while they are engaged with each other and their community. We provide safe environments where students are free to be inquisitive and discover answers as they learn more about themselves and the world around them.

The placement of the word “Heart” in the middle of the three words signifies that “heart” is at the center of everything we do.
