Our Governing Board In Action

During the month of June the Menifee Union School District Governing Board took the following actions:

• Ratified the Report of Purchases for May 2021

• Held a Public Hearing for the purpose of taking input on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)

• Approved the bid proposal for roof restoration of four buildings at Menifee Valley Middle School

• Approved the proposal provided by Class Leasing for Menifee Valley Middle School interim classrooms

• Approved the attached bid for renovation services of the 200 Building at Menifee Valley Middle School 

• Approved the proposal provided by Haulaway Storage Containers for the temporary storage containers at Menifee Valley Middle School

• Approved the proposal provided by Office and Ergonomic Solutions, Inc. for marker boards at Menifee Valley Middle School 

• Approved the proposals provided by TROX for new classroom monitors at Menifee Valley Middle School and Chester Morrison Elementary Kindergarten

• Awarded contracts for the Middle School No. 4 project to the lowest responsive bidders for the four (4) categories

• Approved a pool of five surveying contractors to provide surveying services as needed for District-wide projects over the next 5 years

• Approved the attached bid provided by Koury for geo-technical services on the Elementary School #15 project

• Approved the proposal for surveying services for the Elementary School #15 Project

• Approved the proposal for landscaping services for Quail Valley Elementary School

• Approved piggy-backable Bid #1706 for Kitchen Equipment for District use from Garden Grove Unified School District to use through June 30, 2021 to purchase kitchen equipment

• Approved the proposal provided by Netronix for Salto Wireless access control at the District Education Center

• Approved the bid for access control installation at 15 campuses. All site main entrances will be equipped with card reader and lock down function with the option to unlock remotely

• Approved a Notice of Authorization with Cooperative Strategies, LLC for Special Tax Consulting Services

• Approved a Notice of Authorization with Cooperative Strategies, LLC for Financial Advisory Services

• Adopted the 2021/2022 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)

• Adopted the 2021-2022 Budget as presented

• Approved the proposal for inspection services for the Shade Shelter project at Menifee Valley Middle School

• Approved the proposal from Baker Nowicki Design Studios to provide design services for all off-site improvements required for Elementary School #15

• Approved the purchase of three Ford F250 trucks for the Maintenance Department under California Multiple Award Schedules Contract No. 1-18-13-20A

• Approved Klean-Up Services and Janitorial for supplemental summer deep cleaning

• Approved the award of RFP #03022021 - Fresh and Processed Produce with Gold Star Foods

• Approved the award of RFP #03012021 for frozen, refrigerated and dry food distribution with Gold Star Foods

• Approved the renewal/roll-over for the 2021-2022 school year with P&R Paper Supply Company to provide paper products

• Approved the renewal of RFP #040620 for fresh dairy items with Driftwood Dairy in the 2021-2022 school year

• Approved the pool of firms to provide Inspector of Record Services for on-call inspection services for District-wide projects

• Approved the monthly compensation for the Board of Trustees to be increased to $400.00 per month

• Approved the California Dashboard Local Indicators Report for the 20/21 fiscal year

• Adopted the 2019-20 LCAP and 2020-21 Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan Annual Updates
