Our Governing Board In Action

During the month of July the Menifee Union School District Governing Board took the following actions:

• Participated in a Governing Board Study Session/Self-Evaluation
• Adopted the vision and mission statement as presented: 
  Vision Statement: Engaging Young Minds for Limitless Futures
  Mission Statement: To inspire learning, exploration, and imagination
• Adopted the equity statement as presented:
  To ensure equity in all educational practices and outcomes, Menifee Union School District will intentionally provide opportunities and access, so students, families, and staff are valued, supported, seen, and included across our school communities
• Adopted the Menifee Union School District Governance Handbook
• Ratified the Purchases for June 2021
• Approved the attached bid for Lab of Record services for the Menifee Valley Middle School Shade Shelter Project
• Approved Additional Services Request #05 with C.W. Driver for the Menifee Valley Middle School Reconstruction Project 
• Ratified the contract with Troxell National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance
• Approved the attached proposal for Menifee Valley Middle School 200 Wing Technology Upgrades from Apple Valley Communications
• Approved the renewal/roll-over of piggyback bid number 2019/20-02 from Val Verde Unified School District for the 2021-22 school year to provide fresh bread products 
• Approved the selection and appointment of Carolyn Montoney for the position of Special Education Coordinator
• Approved three (3) School Social Worker positions, job description, and addition of positions
• Approved two (2) TOSA Math positions, job description, and addition of position to Salary Schedule 100
• Approved the Consolidated Application and Reporting Systems (CARS) Spring 2021 Data Collection Release
